There are a variety of ways in which you might enjoy the pretty scenery of Hayling Island. Put on your cycling shoes or your walking boots.

Enjoy a variety of walks with the Hayling Island group taking in the splendid sea views.

This group offers a short walk with a gentle pace for beginner or slower walkers to enjoy.

The longer walk enables those who enjoy a slightly faster paced promenade to enjoy the Hayling coastline whilst socialising with acquaintances.

Share a morning amble with allies taking in the crisp sea air and ever changing environment, returning for refreshments.
This is mainly a flat route. There are two short hills at the Rowlands Castle end of the route. The majority of the route is on cycle path, but 3 short sections are on road:
1.	from The Recreation Ground, The Fairway, Rowlands Castle to the bottom of the hill in Durrants Road
2.	the section of road between Langstone Road and Langstone Bridge on to Hayling Island. The pavements on both sides of Langstone Bridge (only) are cycle paths.
3.	the southern loop of Staunton Ave, Sea Front and Sinah Lane.

The Hayling Billy Coastal Route is formed from packed scalpings, with a top-dressing, there is a bit of tarmac and some concrete and it might be a little lumpy in places. Most road bikes will cope but mountain bikes are better suited ” I biked the route on a mountain bike with slick road tyres and I was Satisfactory. There are points where some would prefer to walk but these points are few and far between and very short ” bearing in mind I cycled the route the day following torrential downpours which pulled leaves off trees etc. a few puddles about but on the whole it was pretty well drained.

If you want to know about a wonderful place to stay on Hayling Island then you should consider Cockle Warren. It is a wonderful little B and B on Hayling Island and you would not be badly served if you went there
The world’s smallest continent and largest island is Australia. In size, it is about as large as the 48 adjoining United States. There are about 20.4 million people and they are generally concentrated in th eastern and south-eastern coastal urban regions. This means that there are tremendous open areas to explore in the rest of the country, and this can be best done by car. Picturesque coast lines, inland mountainous areas and verdant tropical forests with native plants and wild life are there for the traveller to see.

You can easily organize for a car rental at the airport or hotel with an international drivers licence or a valid American or European drivers licence. There are lots of car hire companies offering different types of vehicles, from different makes and sizes of cars and SUVs to minivans, camper vans and RVs, minibuses, and 4WDs. No matter what your needs and preferences are, there will always be a vehicle to suit you. For example, those who wish to camp can find camper vans that will sleep up to 6 people, and come ready with a microwave, gas stove, griller and refrigerator. Deluxe models will have double beds, toilet and shower in addition to the mini kitchen. If you are travelling in more rugged terrain, there are 4WDs. If you are traveling on a budget, there are economy compact cars and economy campers. There are also convertibles and luxury large cars, if you want to travel in style.

Driving in Australia can be dissimilar from other countries: driving on the left side of the road, observing the different speed limits (in kilometres) and regulations in the States to be visited, checking weather and road conditions before travel, letting police know of travel plans if driving in rural areas, making way for the road trains (a semi-truck hauling 3 large trailers), etc. Expect the car rental company to provide detailed information on driving rules and regulations, supplies to take (most importantly, plenty of water), emergency processes, potential dangers such as wildlife and driving at night, as well as accommodations, routes and resources on the road. Study and preparation ahead will insure a successful and pleasant car vacation in Australia.
